A dedicated theatre and film artist, advocate for actors and the arts, family man and vegan, with twenty-five years of experience: Rik has been a regular contributor to the American Theatre as well as Independent Film. He is the founding Artistic Director of Eclectic Theater Company.
His Eclectic Theater Company acting credits include the classic roles of Macbeth (Macbeth), Hamlet (Hamlet), Jacques (As You Like It), Oberon (A Midsummer Night's Dream), Don Pedro (Much Ado About Nothing), as well as contemporary roles in the West Coast Premiere of The Little Death, the Northwest Premiere of Hate Mail and the Seattle Premiere of 365 Days 365 Plays: Week #18. Rik has also worked as an actor in and around Seattle with Open Door Theatre, Centerstage, Ghost Light Theatricals, Live Girls! Theater, ArtsWest, Theater Schmeater, and Renton Civic Theater. Film credits include Sausage Fest, Obsession, The Standard (which won Best Director at Phoenix Film Festival), Snow Day, Bloody Snow Day; Muffled By Pastry; and more.
Rik has directed for Eclectic Theater Company, Open Door Theater and Cornish College of the Arts and directed the World Premieres of Mossy Cape and The Little Death. As a Stage Manager, he has worked with Book-It Repertory, Tacoma Actors Guild and Open Door Theatre,
Rik has a BFA in Acting from Cornish College of the Arts and is a member of Screen Actors Guild, Actor's Equity Association, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
